what does the real success mean?

urm,it is such a big topic to be discussed coz it simply relates to everyone in this world...in our journey of life, we have always associated sunshine as good-success,and rain as bad-failure. Most of us don't like the rain coz we'd prefer the sunshine. We'd prefer good times rather than bad times. But are good times really that nice?Or are the bad times really that bad?Are the easy times really that nice? Are hard times to be dreaded? What would happen if we are exposed to sunshine every day?okay, first,we'll get sunburnt, or worse we may suffer from skin cancer!now what happens if we stay under the rain every day?we may get pneumonia and may even die of cold. It looks like both sides don't seem to be the answer.

we do know that both sides do give some benefits. as wise man once said:

"summer is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces up,snow is exhilarating, there is no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather"

what can we infer from above statement?

"something good always comes from something bad"

to simplify the thing, it goes this way, i am sure that we have all known or seen the rainbow. you will agree with me that this is one of the greatest natural sights in the world. HOw does it come about?

it can only come out when there's a mixture of rain and sunshine. in the absence of any one of these, the rainbow will disappear.

as we have seen, success and failure is interrelated, we have to go through both to feel the exhilarating of life...

a question to ponder:

give me 10 losers who understand what losing means and i'll give you ten great winner...

what to know about gymnastics

History of the Sport of Gymnastics

Gymanstics, as an activity sport, has been around for over 2000 years but as an competitive sport it is a little more than 100 years old. Mass and individual exhibitions were conducted by various clubs and ethnic groups such as the Turvereins and Sok ols.

While it was slow-growing in the club area, it was fast-growing sport in the Turvereins and Sokols. In 1830s, the sport of gymnastics was introduced

to United States and its school systems by such immigrants as Charles Beck, Charles Follen and Franci s Lieber.

In 1881 the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) was formed, later was renamed to Bureau of the European Gymnastics Federation. This organization pioneered the international competition. The Amature Athletic Union (AAU) was formed in United Sta tes in 1883. Along with other amature spotts in United States, this organization took over the control of the gymnastics in U.S. Various "championships" started to develop by various clubs and organizations at about the same time during 1880s.

The first large-scale com

petition was the 1896 Olympics in Athens, Greece. There Germany have been the dominant team by almost sweeping every medal. Five countries have participapted in this event. Men's competitions included horizontal bar, parall el bars, pommel horse, rings, and vault.

The first international ev

ent following 1896 Olympics was hel in 1903 in Antwerp, Belgium. There competed gymnasts from such places as Belgium, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. This event is now considered the first World Championship. The f irst men's team competition was added and held in 1904 Olympics at St. Louis.

By ninth World Championship in 1930 at Luxembourg, the gymnastic competition included track and field events such as pole vault, broad jump, shot put, rope climb, and 100-meter dash. Following that, track and field events started to disappear from gy mnastics events, such as World Championships. They fully disappeared from the sport of gymnastics by 1954 World Championships.

During 1924 Olympics in France marked the begining of what they are today. In gymnastics, men started to compete for individual Olympic titles in each gymnastic event. The first women's gymnastic team debuted during the 1928 Olympics. The first wom en's event during 1928 Olympics was the team combined exercise, where it was dominated by Netherlands. Th

e first U.S. women's gymnastic team competed in the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, Germany.

In 1962, rhythmic gymnastics were recognized as a sport by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). In 1963 in Budapest, Hungary, the first Rhythmic World Championship took place. It included 28 athlets from 10 countries. In 1973, the United States joined the sport of rhythmic gymnastics during the Rhythmic World Championships. During the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, the rhythmic individual all-around competition was held for the first time. At the Centenial Olympics this year in Atlanta, the rhythmic group event will be a medal-sport for the first time.

In 1970, the United States Gymna

stics Federartion, now formally known as USA Gymnastics, was organized and became the govering body on this sport in the U.S. It is still exist today.

Bukan Berpatah Arang

the words above shows how the melancholic life has tremendous effects to one's life..but the fuzziness of the emblazoned memories can paste our life to the faltering ahead...anyway,life is not all about what we see something in present, but it is sort of reflection of the past, and how the faltering steps we took might influence our cognitive thinking to revolve around the present life..the past teaches us to be more aware of what will happen in future...it is just like there are many perspectives of how to carry on with our lives, like what was sung by P.Ramlee, to remember the past is such a hurtful thing, and we should undo all the things in the past to catch up with the new life indeed...some philosophers may probably say that the past gives us inspiration to come out with a new version of personality as goes saying, we in the past is just a small proportion of what we are now...coz it simply gives us motivation to sort out all the problems we faced in the past with maturity..so,accepting the reality is simply the best, but to delete all the negative elements can be a great means..it actually depends on how we,as humans want to develop our lives and how we would like it to start...

the title of this post is actually derived from a song, and the song gives an idea of how to cope with our lives with new notions that may help us to create awareness..urm,i just made up some comments by my own thought about the song, anyway,i think the lyric is too philosophical to be understood by my own self...anyway,just leave it,coz it gives me a headache to really comprehend the whole lyric

now,i thought of finishing my reading on the book entitled "this land"...i've borrowed this book from the library coz i find it interesting, interesting coz it emphasizes the idea of how a person, sia,a chinese boy, grew up in Malaysia, but with dissatisfaction of how the government of this country treates the chinese..he is a reporter, graduated from UM,and he is also an activist...his dissatisfaction of the treatment leads him to be a rebel..he made up his mind to find out his roots in china...in china,he learns a lot of things...sorry,i haven't finished up my reading,i've completed my reading till the part when he went to china,he met up with many islamic chinese..then he learned many things there, and i guess,he may be later regretting of what he has done and he changed to be somebody else...that's just my guess..hehehehe...very attractive,i didn't put racial attributes as the main priority while reading this book, coz if were to do so,then it becomes unfair..and i'll be bored to finish up my reading...

busy weeks

this couple of weeks, all i can say is such hectic weeks for me...it could probably be busy weeks for me...so many works to be completed, and at the same time we have to commit ourselves to attending classes that may be a lot, anyway,it's a direction to the development of graduate attributes...

presentations,OMG, i was not well when i was presenting all the tutorial presentations...then everything is just horrible..i feel guilty towards all my group members, sorry guys,it's something unpredictable..anyway,i've tried my best..

urm, last time, during the holiday,i've been visiting some interesting places with my colleagues..we enjoyed the trip...thanks to ieha, ahlin and tina for including me in the trip,hehhehehe...i'm pretty excited to visit more places, but unfortunately, the weather was not permitting us to visit such good places,so we just watched upin and ipin..it changes my perspective about the cartoon..seriously,i used to love watching cartoons, but when i turned to eleven,i started to feel that cartoons have nothing to do with serious matter, therefore, i stopped watching cartoons..but of course,i didn't stop at all, just stop watching some cartoons..upin and ipin has a well choreograph of storyboard, and overall,it can attract people to watch the story and at the same time it can also give viewers a clear view of cultures in Malaysia, good combination of utterances in building up relations among all the three races..i'd safely say that it's an appropriate story to be watched by kids, and teens as well...

anyway, for the time being,i'd love to study...although first year may be too heavy, but interesting...and i've just learned a lesson from one of my ex schoolmates, life is not all about "e=mc2". sometimes we have to be less dependent on what we call a box which is tapped by cockroaches and ultimately,we see nothing but insignificant toot...that could be such horrible notions and after all,we are ourselves in the confinement..abstract should be the word to describe what life can sometimes be...hehhehe...it sounds ambiguous i suppose

something to be proud of

malaysia very first astronaut has finally made his way come to our institute. Wow,that's really amazing, i'd prefer to say that it's my luck to see him,my impression on datuk sheikh muszaphar is okay, and i'd safely say that he's a multi-talented person, when he has been working out various kinds of profession. In addition, his knowledge in many aspects is quite good and he is able to show his outstanding communication skills,it seems like he makes used of what he has learnt in all the fields that he has involved in...i asked two questions regarding his occupation and how he managed to deal with so many challenges before he becomes the very first malaysian to go into space...
he answered me satisfactorily, and for me i'll take all of his words positively, coz it may be useful for students like me...as a student, challenges is part and parcel...

my knowledge about the launched is quite shallow, but for sure he boarded the soyuz TMA-11 to be launched to international space station...and the rest,i'm not sure, but it's not something unknown that he made his move on 10th oct 2007...in the talk,he told everything about the journey, solat, and others that relate to his flew...

basically, the idea of sending the astronaut can spell out two different notions, which the first could be the advantage and it can also be drawn up the disadvantage..the advantage of sending the astronaut is to open the world's eyes on malaysia..as what we know, malaysia is still lagging behind in terms of technology advancement, and products of science,..when we are able to send an astronaut, meaning that we are now open towards the development of science and technology... however,we still need to ponder about financial problem within malaysia itself..when we want to send an astronaut,a lot of money will be spent for that..malaysia is not a rich country, many malaysians are unemployed, and of course money is still everything...in my opinion,if we just close one eye,we won't be able to see the facts for real, like for example if we really want to buy something which might be precious and useful,we have to close one eye, then we'll see the benefits of the thing, and we'll appreciate it...unlikely, if we have to consider about so many things, then we unable to own anything, in fact,we can just dream of it..same thing goes to the situation of sending the astonaut(for malaysia), we should see the good things lie beyond the thing..if we still remain with all the pak pandir's notion, then when can we see the differences in our country development...

anyway,i'd not say that i support any of these notions, coz this depends on how people take it and comprehend the ideas...urm,sending sheikh muszaphar to the space can also inspire malaysian citizens to be able to work on our capablities...somehow,it helps out people to be more motivated in sense of producing good quality of works and being more courageous...that's the basic idea of my point of view...

humm..

we've just submitted the assignment of Human development, what a relief..by the way,i am not really sure with my answer, coz it was kind of nonsense piece of writing...i thought of undoing all the things that i've written for the summary of the journal, unfortunately, i can't do it,it is such a silly thing that i've ever done..

recently, i've just completed my sukantara, hehehe...i think it was no more appropriate for me,i've not been running for a couple of years,it such a bad notion of redoing it again..luckily,i managed to pass all the three elements of the sukan...hehhehe...

i've just watched a gymnastic competition in perak recently, most likely last week in ipoh, wow, what such a wonderful competition,i think i'd love it...i used to be one when i was in primary school, that's such an old tok kaduk's story, but when we were in those particular years,we just did some elements like bridge(backbent), split (side&front), arabesque...and the rest were just balacing our body...i did pass my test, but that was a long time ago punya story, for sure not now,coz those things may take their tolls on me,and for sure i'll have to suffer for another couple of days just because of doing those skills...for now,i can just do the not-so-perfect split and arabesque...ngeh2...eh,i think i've gone off track..get back to the competition, basically, it was a fantastic competition, coz i saw a boy who really stands out,he has the power to kill all the rivals' availibility, he can do all the elements, what da heck, he's just 11-year-old boy..when i was an eleven,i was like a blurr boy...but i salute that boy for his bravery...

tomorrow is going to be a challenging day for me,10-kilometre journey is waiting for me,i don't know, maybe i'll be pretending to be unconcious during the day...i don't think that i can make it to the top 20,coz i'm just lacking of stamina... but i'll try my best to so as not to dishonour the status of my team which has lately plunged..

wow, next week is going to be great,we'll have a great chance to meet malaysians' very first astronomy...i think he's a multi-talented person, who's the abilities to juggle lots of works at one-shot,it's not that i'm trying to look up upon him,or whatever, but it seems like i'm a malaysian, and he's malaysia as well,so we belong to one nation...i'm just envy for his achievements...i hope i can be one in future...

linguistics

linguistics...it's quite interesting subject..it covers most of the things that we never alert before...basically,i enjoy the lessons, but it just that i don't know what happens to my mind..i can't really memorize the things that i learn deep down..i know the basis of memorizing is to comprehend, but i feel like i don't really get the points..anyway,i feel like pointing finger at my own self who don't really stand out..

urm,we went to father barre convent,i noticed that the designated teacher who dealt with us is a kind person, she didn't request for something which is ridiculous for us to get, such as a letter from any persons..that would have made our work easier...finally we got three students which are from three different races, darshana, farah waheeda, and jocelyn..task given is to identify pronunciation errors made by those students...unluckily we've got a wrong school, coz all the three selected students are good, and it is undeniably true that their english is great,i think i'll have a hard time to write the report regarding their error..especially the indian ones, but overall, three of them have made an effort, that is what i like..i really enjoyed the session..

basically, most malaysians have problems in pronoucing some words, especially the final consonants are hardly pronounced..such as "don't","park","look" and many other examples...
